Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of everything we do. Our bodies have the power to heal themselves if given the right fuel and support. My job is to help you find what works best for your body, even if that means giving up certain foods or habits in order to see results.

People skills

Listening and communication are vital in health but it also translates into understanding the client’s own values and priorities.

Problem solving

Is key when it comes to finding what works for each individual person. There are so many ways to approach a health problem, but no one solution fits all. I believe in finding what works best for each client based on their individual needs.

Evidence-informed

This is important because it helps to stay current with the latest medical research so I can provide clients with the most up-to-date information.

Client-centred

I am here for you! My focus is always client centred: what does the client need? How can I serve them best?

Professionalism

I am professional, efficient, and highly organized. I always have my clients' best interests at heart and work hard to ensure that they get the best possible outcome.

My story

Navigating multiple sclerosis and the transition to menopause

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2011. At the time, I had a 1-year-old baby boy and an 11-year-old daughter. The uncertainty and unpredictable nature of MS were terrifying, and I knew I needed to take control where I could. I committed myself to doing whatever it takes to be as healthy as possible to reduce the risk of disease progression.

This led me to prioritise dietary changes and pursue formal study — first completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetic Medicine), followed by a Bachelor of Complementary Medicine.

Years later, I found myself in the midst of the transition to menopause — without fully realising I was perimenopausal at first. It was a confusing and confronting time. I often felt sad, flat, and at times completely defeated by the shifts in my energy, mood, and overall sense of wellbeing. That experience made me even more passionate about helping other women through this stage of life. With the right nutritional support, I believe it’s absolutely possible to feel strong, balanced, and like yourself again — and I’m here to help others do just that.

Where nutrition led me

In the early days of my MS diagnosis, I faced temporary paralysis, vision changes, bladder issues, and constant fatigue. When new lesions appeared on my MRI, I was advised to begin immune-modulating therapy. I knew I couldn’t rely on medicine alone — I needed a more holistic approach that included lifestyle and nutrition.

That decision led me to study a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetic Medicine) and a Bachelor of Complementary Medicine. Through my studies — and lived experience — I came to understand the powerful role food can play in supporting long-term health, resilience, and wellbeing.

Years later, as I moved through the transition to menopause, I encountered a new wave of physical and emotional change — shifts in weight, energy, mood, and a sense of sadness I hadn’t expected. I didn’t realise at the time that I was perimenopausal, and often felt overwhelmed and defeated.

Nutrition once again became my foundation. I adjusted my diet to support my changing needs, leaned into what worked for me — including a whole food, plant-based approach — and found clarity and strength in the process.

Now, I help other women navigate this phase of life with evidence-based, individualised nutrition strategies. Whether you're dealing with hormonal shifts, fatigue, or just not feeling like yourself, know that change is possible — and nourishment can be a powerful part of it.

Love from clients

“I love the Metabolic Balance® program. I know what foods to eat, how much to eat and when to eat them. I have lost weight that I hadn’t been able to shift and feel amazing but most of all it has given me back my self-confidence. I am truly grateful for this program”.

Amiel

“I have seen Raecheal a number of times to help me get on top of my food what is best for me to be eating while going through menopause.  Her knowledge, understanding and passion for what she does is awesome. Everything has been implemented easily and has not been overwhelming. I highly recommend Raecheal.“

Rina

“I didn’t really know what to do when I was experiencing ongoing health issues.  Raecheal really put my medical struggles in order with her knowledge and being so keen to listen and explore my way of life and culture. My problems are now manageable.“

Ruty

“I saw Raecheal as I was suffering with so many allergies. Raecheal was able to recognise this as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. I have taken her advice and gone off dairy and changed to soy products and the difference has been amazing. My sensitivities have lessened to such an amazing degree and she also changed my diet and some of the foods I was consuming. I have so much more energy. I am so grateful for her knowledge and her kindness and helping me change my life.”
